Are they serious?

I recently received an email blasting the Obama administration and its move toward "Socialism" (as if the author knew what the word meant). Then it went on:

"David was telling me of this movement that’s growing in this country to arm themselves and stock up for when a revolt or civil unrest breaks out. Before, when I’ve heard of these groups, I thought it was a bit far-fetched. Honestly, now… I’m not so sure that these people are so off-base, and I’m honestly thinking that that might be the most sane thing to do right now."

Indeed, Sean Hannity posted a poll on his website asking people if they support secession.

Ya know, we liberals have suffered pretty silently over the last 30 years while the American government and economy has been steadily eroded and the American middle class steadily destroyed. You didn't hear cries of "secession" or "civil war," even from left-leaning Californians who live in the world's 20th largest economy and could easily manage on their own. You know why? Because liberals are true American PATRIOTS: "My country, right or wrong, my country."

But just let things not go the right-wingers' way for a while, and they're all ready to secede or revolt. Some patriotism.
