Here's more, Bro... Besides, please advise where it states who did what to what to render that site unavailable. As I stated in my original mailing, I don't know. It could be lots of angry people, just like your friend. But it takes an awful lot of computing power to bring a site like that down. "we are telling the middle east, and we are telling all muslim-islam-allah-worshipping nations..." Did you really think that your friend's "we" was referring to the Jewish people? America backs the State of Israel, and with good cause: it's the only democracy in the Middle East, and it's held the neighboring Arabs somewhat at bay. The Christian Right backs the State of Israel for a different reason: it is part and parcel of their apocalyptic vision. Another part of their apocalyptic vision is that all of the Israelites (read that Jews) accept Jesus as their savior. Those who don't will be destroyed in the "War to End All Wars" (which the current war with Iraq is beginning to grimly resemble). By the way, the backup document for this apocalyptic vision goes back even further than 1991; it's from the Christian bible's Book of Revelations. I believe your friend's "we" referred to non-Moslem Americans in the broadest sense, and Christian Americans in the most narrow sense. Oh, and by the way, you might want to let him (or her) know that Allah is the Arabic word for G-d, so as the "allah-worshipping nations" quote stands, it includes Israel. If you think your friend would like to join the blog, please let me know and I'll send him/her an invite.
